Nigeria troops staged a protest in Borno
The Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Olusegun Adeniyi including the Deputy Theatre Commander, Maj General MG Ali and their boys escaped death from the hands of Boko Haram terrorists who laid an ambush for him at Auno, Borno state.
The terrorists fired several Anti-Aircraft ammunition and Rocket Propelled Grenades on his convoy.
During the fire-fight that ensured after the ambush attack, several soldiers were wounded in action while several Boko Haram terrorists were killed.
Confirming the attack in a statement, the Nigerian Army said the Theatre Commander, Major General Adeniyi personally led gallant troops of the Nigerian Army in the fight back and neutralization of the terrorists.
After the deadly collision, the theater Commander had to stage a protest through a video to his boss and the Government to express their displeasure over the challenges they encountered and still having while laying down their lives for the country.
They charged and appeal to the appropriate authorities to urgently support them, as they are motivated to destroy the Boko Haram terrorists.
